Stakeholders

Both internally and externally, stakeholders are all of the parties directly or indirectly affected by Eramet's activity. At every stage of the process, setting up an extensive collaboration with all of these participants is a key factor in the success of projects.

In practice, the effectiveness and longevity of the Group's actions requires a partnership approach that involves in particular:

  • States
  • elected representatives
  • local communities (with all members represented: women, young people, vulnerable individuals, etc.)
  • civil society
  • international backers
  • contracting parties

Additionally, as most of the departments of Group entities are in contact with local communities, it is essential they are fully incorporated into the drive. This includes in particular the Communication, Environment, Human Resources, Procurement, Technical and Operational departments in contact with the communities (mines and plants).

In order to identify the economic, environmental, social and societal issues considered a priority, Eramet conducted its materiality analysis in 2019. The goal of this exercise is to compare the importance of CSR issues for the company and the expectations of internal and external stakeholders regarding these issues. Taking the results into account helps to steer an open and dynamic CSR strategy. Below are the results of this analysis, as well as a methodology note.
